Anyone can present the temperament concepts. The concepts are public domain. However, saying you are a certified True Colors trainer (if you are not) or copying genuine copyrighted True Colors material and using it are definitely a breach of copyright and trademark laws.   With that said, you are certainly able to purchase and use TrueColorsTest or “Positively Mary” materials to present an effective color styles workshop and be well within the law.

A great way to get up to speed is to get the book Showing Our True Colors by Mary Miscisin. The book is also available on audio – Showing Our True Colors Audio Edition. The audio tape series gives the history and development of True Colors, how to do a Color sort, the strengths of each Color Style, and fun exercises to do. For a more complete experience there is the Showing Our True Colors PowerPoint Presentation (either regular or corporate version), and the Showing Our True Colors Instruction and Demonstration DVD which shows how Master Trainer Mary Miscisin uses the PowerPoint to make each of the True Colors Personality Styles come alive in a fun and interactive way. Each PowerPoint comes with a 6 page training outline that includes an ice-breaker activity, how to determine your color spectrum, color style exercises, and even a closure activity!

If you are a certified True Colors Trainer and are giving a "True Colors" workshop you are required to use one item of True Colors material (such as cards, Keys to Success, or any of their books - including Showing Our True Colors).
